Installation
- Turn off the water: Ensure both the hot and cold water taps in your shower are completely turned off.
- Remove the shower head: Unscrew your existing shower head from the shower pipe (or unscrew the shower hose if you have a handheld model) by turning it counter clockwise. You may need an adjustable wrench if it is stuck, but it is typically hand-tight.
- Check the washers: Make sure the rubber washer (O-ring) is sitting securely inside the inlet of your Nemo filter.
- Attach the Nemo filter: Screw the Nemo filter onto the shower pipe (or arm) by turning it clockwise. Hand-tighten it until it is snug. Do not overtighten with tools, as this can damage the plastic threads.
- Reattach the shower head: Screw your shower head (or hose) onto the bottom end of the Nemo filter. Hand-tighten firmly until secure.
Check for Leaks: If water drips from the connection points, turn off the water, unscrew the fitting, and ensure the rubber washer is perfectly flat inside the connection. You can also apply a few turns of plumber's tape to the shower arm threads before installing if you notice a persistent drip.
Note: The filter will add 14cm to your shower connection.
Filter Replacement: The built-in vitamin and sediment filter typically lasts between 30 to 60 days, depending on your water quality and usage.
